W-2s Are Easier Than Ever
With CheckMark Payroll, you can print W-2s and W-3s on blank paper. No more collating employee copies and no more alignment problems.
You can print Employee W-2 copies B, C, and 2 on one sheet of perforated blank paper. Requires 2012 Payroll update and a quality printer.
IMPORTANT: IRS Publication 1141, Part B, Section 2.05 states:
“Employee copies of Form W-2 (Copies B, C, and 2), including those that are printed on a single sheet of paper, must be easily separated. Providing perforations between the individual copies satisfies this requirement, but using scissors to separate Copies B, C, and 2 does not.”

Blank Sheet Method
With CheckMark Payroll, you can print W-2s and W-3s using our Blank Sheet method or print on preprinted forms. With the Blank Sheet method, there's no need to collate copies or to align your printer.
For best results and to be in compliance with IRS Publication 1141, Part B, Section 2.05, order our perforated blank W-2 paper. We offer 4-up Blank W-2 Sets and 2-Up Blank sheets.
How It Works:
Install the 2012 Payroll Update as soon as you receive it. The update is designed to complete your 2012 payroll and run 2011 W-2s.
4-Up Blank Sheets:
Four (4) Employee copies of the W-2 will print on one sheet of 8½" X 11" perforated paper. Prints one employee per sheet and folds once to fit the compatible envelope that is included with
4-Up Blank W-2 Sets. (No collating is required.)
2-Up Blank Sheets:
Two (2) copies of the W-2 will print on one sheet of 8½" X 11" perforated paper. Use these sheets to print W-2s for State Copy 1, Local Copy 1 and Employer File Copies. Prints two different
employees per sheet.
Plain Paper:
Use to print W-2 Federal Copy-A and W3 Transmittal Copy. Red-printed copies are no longer required for these two forms.
CheckMark does not sell plain paper. You can use the 20 lb. white paper found in most offices for copiers and laser printers.

Preprinted Laser Sets
With this method, you can print W-2s and W-3s on preprinted forms. The forms include the red ink printing on Copy A and on the W-3. The 2012 version of CheckMark Payroll is recommended but not required.
To run W-2 Laser Sets you need CheckMark Payroll and a quality printer.
Which Preprinted Forms Should You Order?
Laser Sets:
Laser sets are preprinted, single sheets that will run through a laser printer or an ink jet printer. Each sheet of the laser forms has two employees per page.
Twin Sets:
